Friday 25th July 2014, Peggy Temu attended the 2013/2014 Tennis NZ awards at Butterfly Creek in Mangere and was crowned Tennis NZ 'Club Volunteer of The Year'. These awards are held annually and celebrate the success of clubs and players nationally. A highlight of the night was tennis legend Ruia Morrison receiving the lifetime membership award (photo on left). Peggy, along with her husband, Club President Chris Temu and her family attended the night and we are all very proud of her achievement. In her speech on the night she likened the day to day operating of a club to a jigsaw. 'It takes a motivated and positive person to come in and start to put all the pieces in place'. Well done Peggy and thank you from all your JPTC whanau for all the amazing work you do. She continually shows us what can be achieved through sheer determination and hard work. An asset to our club from day one. We'd also like to thank Tennis Auckland, who are an amazing and supportive regional body for their nomination.
